Back in 2020, the high-end watchmaking company Greubel Forsey dazzled the world with an amazingly creative and bold new model: the Balancier S. The new model expressed a more sporty and energetic approach by the brand. An instant hit, the new design captured enthusiasts’ minds with an out of the ordinary design, great wearability, an integrated rubber strap and water resistance of up to 100 meters.
Two years on, the celebrated Swiss manufacturer launched a new model based on the original Balancier S, to be offered by JB Jewelers exclusively.

Unique to the new model is the combination of titanium and carbon steel, compared to the original model’s titanium-only body. Apart from outstanding aesthetics, the new material composition provides added lightness and exceptionally comfortable wearability.
Various color and design choices also contribute to the new model’s uniqueness: the strap, the rubber ridges around the crown and even the small second hand are all deep green, inspired by the JB brand colors. The dial is bristly black vs the original model’s grainy silver, and the hands are red rather than white. The design’s crowning glory can be seen on the exposed back, which bears the inscription: 1 of 1.
Brilliantly bold
JB Jewelers X Greubel Forsey sports a daring design that is partly based on an optical illusion. When looked at directly from above, the case appears perfectly round. Yet when seen from an angle, the watch seems to take on a curved, slightly elliptical shape. This unique aesthetic adds another layer to the design, one of sophistication and sheer joy.
Elite watchmaking prowess, demonstrated
The new mode’s movement, too, is nothing ordinary: the wheels are positioned at a 30° tilt to fit the unusual design. The 308-part movement includes a variable inertia flywheel which is fastened by a bridge and 6 gold screws designed for minimal air resistance. Sitting beneath the angular part of the dial, the variable inertia flywheel operates in perfect harmony with the watch’s functions. With a power reserve of 72 hours and water resistance of up to 100 meters, the automatic Greubel Forsey guarantees excellent usability and performance as well.
